The concept of YO-YO was born in the sunny alleys of the “Fortezza Medicea” in Siena (Italy) during the summer 2004 at the famous “Seminari Internazionali Siena Jazz”. The chance meeting, or perhaps it was destiny, of three young musicians :
Andrea Esperti, Lorenzo Paesani, Niccol
ò Faraci gave life to the unusual trio. From the first note it was clear ! Sound,
listening, creativity and connection between them make their music fresh and
interesting.
The name YO-YO comes from the children’s game. This is like the slide of trombone goes up and down; like these new
talents run back and fortharound a moving pulse. They make you discover secret
place in the universe of sounds through a multicolored journey.

YO-YO è un collettivo di musicisti a geometria variabile con un trio di base fondato da
Andrea Esperti nell
’estate 2004 nel famoso “Seminari Internazionali Siena Jazz” (Italia). Il fortunato incontro di tre giovani musicisti Andrea Esperti,
Lorenzo Paesani e Niccolo
’ Faraci dà vita ad un trio inusuale. Tutto è chiaro fin dalla prima nota ! Il suono, l’ascolto, la creatività, la connessione rende la loro musica fresca e interessante.
Il nome YO-YO proviene dal giocattolo per bambini. E’ come “il va e vieni” dello slide del trombone, come l’inseguirsi sfrenato di questi giovani talenti intorno ad una pulsazione ed a
stili musicali diversi. Un viaggio multicolore attraverso costellazioni segrete
dell
’universo sonoro.
